Doug Reviews: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)
This review was tough to write. A lot of anticipation has built up around Warner Brothers’ Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and not just the three years’ worth since the movie was announced at San Diego Comic Con. For decades, fans have been waiting to see the two most iconic superheroes on screen together. I saw it on an early screening and enjoyed it. Then, I saw all the negative reviews and thought, “Did we see the same movie?” So, I decided to wait until my second viewing to write my review and I’m glad I did, because while Dawn of Justice isn’t as terrible as some are making it out to be, it definitely has a lot of flaws. Doug Reviews: Allegiant (2016)
I have to be honest with you. I watch these Divergent films and I wonder how these books are so popular. Allegiant has some interesting sci-fi concepts in it, but it’s everything else that brings the production crashing to the ground. Continue reading

Doug Reviews: London Has Fallen (2016)
Three years ago, Gerard Butler starred in Olympus Has Fallen, a competent R-rated movie with a pedestrian script and balls-to-the-walls action. Its sequel, London Has Fallen, is all of that, just dumber. Continue reading
EPISODE 12: BLOCKBUSTER HYPE FEST!
On Episode 12 of The Crossover Podcast, Doug and Matt talk about the big blockbusters headed your way over the next few months including Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Captain America: Civil War, (clearly, this was recorded before the final trailer for Cap 3 blew up the Internet). Then they turn their attention to the small screen and discuss the upcoming Season 2 of Daredevil on Netflix as well as the casting of Iron Fist. Finally, they discuss the dumpster fire that is the Gambit film as well as rumors that a certain classic Wolverine villain will show up in his next film. Continue reading
